Summer in the city!

Es ist heiß, sehr heiß sogar! Was macht man da, wenn man mitten in der Stadt wohnt? Na klar, ab ins Freibad! Und ein Eis gibt's nachher auch :-)
It's hot, even very hot! So what will we do living in the middle of the city? Of course, we will go to the next pool! And we will also have a little icecream :-)

Inspiration

Die Natur inspiriert mich immer wieder. Ganz besonders sind es kleine Fundstücke, oft auch gesammelt von meinen Kindern, die zusammengefügt wunderbare kleine Kompositionen ergeben. Schneckenhäuser, eine trockene Blüte, eine schön geformte Samenkapsel...
Nature inspires me again and again. Especially little things, often found by my kids, are transformed into wonderful little compositions. Snail houses, a dry flower, a beautifully formed seed vessel...



Mit offenen Augen durch die Welt gehen und die kleinen Wunder dabei zu entdecken, das ist es, was mein Leben auch im Alltag spannender und erfüllter sein lässt.
To go with open eyes through this world and to discover little wonders, this is what makes my (daily) life so much richer and more exciting.

Blumige Mischung

Ein kleine Auswahl meiner Fotos gibt es nun als Grußkarten zum Aufklappen.

Ich habe sie bei RedBubble drucken lassen und ein Teil davon wandert nun als "Blumige Mischung" komplett mit Umschlag und diesmal auch in Cellophan gehüllt zu DaWanda. Durch den weißen Rahmen haben sie ein bisschen auch eine Polaroid-Optik, nur mit anderen Farben und mehr Schärfe :-)
I have printed them at RedBubble and a part of it (with flower motifs wich I call "Blumige Mischung" in German) is new in my DaWanda shop. I sell them with an envelope and this time packed in cellophane. With the white frame they look a bit like polaroids but with different colours and more sharpness:-)

Polaroid Love

Eine liebe Freundin hat mir eine Polaroidkamera vom Flohmarkt geschenkt, einfach so, weil sie wusste, dass ich immer noch der Kamera meines Opas nachtrauere. Ich liebe die speziellen Farben, die Unschärfe und die Direktheit dieser Art zu Fotografieren. Ab und zu habe ich deswegen ja auch schon meinen digitalen Bilder per Fotoshop einen Polaroid-Look gegeben.
A dear friend has given me a polaroid camera from the fleamarket as a present, for no special reason, just because she knew that I still missed my grandfathers camera so badly. I love the special colours, the softness of focus and also the immediacy of this kind of photography. Sometimes I had already given my digital photos a polaroid look using photoshop.



Aber jetzt konnte ich an einem wunderschönen Sonntagnachmittag, als alle dem Deutschland-England Spiel entgegen fieberten, ein paar Bilder direkt schießen und betrachten, denn die Kamera hatte noch einen Film geladen. Der war zwar schon beschädigt, aber gerade das fand ich als Effekt sehr reizvoll.
But now, on a sunny afternoon, when everyone was looking forward to watching the football game Germany vs England, I could shoot and immeadiatly see some photos because there was still a film left in the camera. It was a little damaged but I found this effect really interesting.



Es hat so etwas Verträumtes, Verspieltes, Nostalgisches und passt perfekt zur Stimmung dieses Museumshofs, in dem ich zu einem Kinderkunstkurs mit meinen Kleinen war.
It has something dreamy,playful, nostalgic which corresponded perfectly to the atmosphere of this museum's courtyard where my kids were at an art course.



Jetzt muss ich nur noch schauen, wie ich an halbwegs bezahlbare Filme (Polaroid 600 oder 779) komme, denn es ist nur noch ein Bild in der Kamera übrig...
Now I have to see how I could get some affordable films (Polaroid 600 or 779) because there is only one photo left in the camera...
