Sakura

Nach dem Wochenende beginnt das Frühlingskaufhaus in München! Mein heute frisch auf Holz erblühtes Sakura-Motiv wird ab Montag inmitten von weiteren Bildern und vielen handgefertigten Designarbeiten und Kunstwerken in ganz zentraler Lage im Stachus-Untergeschoss zu finden sein.
The Spring pop up store will start right after the weekend here in Munich! My Sakura motif which freshly blossomed on wood today will be there among my other photos on wood and in the middle of many handmade crafty and arty things in a central place in Munich called the "Stachus-Untergeschoss".

Aber ab heute schon dürfen die Kirschblüten bei DaWanda in meinem französisch-bayerischem Demoiselle Libellule-Laden noch mehr frühlingshafte Stimmung verbreiten!
But right now the cherry blossoms already create some more Spring mood in my Franco-Bavarian shop Demoiselle Libellule!

PS.: Ist das nun überhaupt wirklich eine Kirschblüte? Ich weiß es leider nicht sicher, denn das Foto ist schon 2010 im Botanischen Garten in München entstanden...

Looking Back: BUGA 2011 in Koblenz

Im letzten Frühjahr verbrachte ich einen wundervollen Tag auf der BUGA (Bundesgartenschau)in Koblenz, eine schöne Anlage mitten im Unesco Kulturerbe, dem oberen Mittelrheintal. Eine recht spektakuläre Seilbahn verband die drei Hauptgebiete, die auf beiden Seiten des Rheines angelegt waren, miteinander.
Last Spring I spent a wonderful day at the BUGA (Federal Horticular Show) in Koblenz which was beautifully situated in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Upper Middle Rhine Valley”. There were quite spectacular aerial cable cars linking the three core areas on both sides of the river Rhine.

Beautiful flower fields like those colourful tulips had been planted everywhere

und hier könnt ihr den großartigen Blick auf das Deutsche Eck genießen, bei dem ja die drei Flüsse Rhein, Lahn und Mosel ineinander fließen.
and here you can enjoy the great view on the "Deutsches Eck" where the rivers Rhein, Lahn and Mosel flow together. 

Auch wenn die BUGA nun beendet ist, so können auch dieses Jahr noch einige Anlagen bewundert werden und auch die Seilbahn steht weiterhin für eine Fahrt mit tollem Ausblick zur Verfügung!
Although the BUGA is over now parts of it can still be admired this year and even the aerial cable cars can still be used for a ride with a great view!

Spring News

Demoiselle Libellule wartet ungeduldig auf den Frühling, weshalb heute zumindest schon einmal ein Frühlingsbild in den kleinen Laden gewandert!
Demoiselle Libellule is impatiently waiting for Spring to finally arrive and so at least a Spring photo made it into my little shop today!

Eines meiner Lieblingsbilder, die "Spring Shoes" habe ich digital etwas neu bearbeitet und dann auf Holz aufgezogen.
One of my favourite photos, the "Spring Shoes",  got a little digital reworking and then I mounted it on wood.

Und dann beginnt auch bald schon das große Frühlingskaufhaus vom Kaufhauskollektiv, wo ihr auch dieses mal meine Bilder finden könnt (zumindest alle Münchner :-). Jetzt geht's erst einmal ab ins Atelier, denn ich muss weiter Hölzer vorbereiten und Fotos aufziehen!
And the "Frühlingkaufhaus" (a Spring pop up store) will soon start where you can find my photos on wood once again (at least all the Munich people :-). So, now I'm heading over to the studio because I have to prepare more wood panels and mount some more photos!
