Water-Colour-Textures (free textures!)

Hier war es mal wieder lange sehr sehr ruhig. Ich musste mich um mein oft gar nicht so gemütliches kleines Nest kümmern: ausmisten, aufräumen, Dinge klären und ordnen, das war (und ist) nötig. Meine Familie wollte umsorgt, verschiedene Aufträge bearbeitet und unser wunderbarer siebenmachen Atelierladen langsam von mir mit gestaltet werden. Daher gab es einfach nicht genug Zeit zum Bloggen und um wirklich kreativ zu sein...

It's been very quiet over here once again. I had to take care of my often not so very cozy little nest: decluttering, cleaning, rearranging things was (and still is) necessary. Taking care of my family, working on various orders and slowly creating our wonderful siebenmachen shop and studio was very important right now and so there was not enough time for blogging and being very creative...

Aber heute möchte ich euch endlich mal ein neues Foto zeigen, das ich vor einigen Tagen gemacht habe. Das kunstvoll gebaute, leere Vogelnest haben meine Kinder und ich auf dem Boden im Hof gefunden und später draußen fotografiert. Ich habe mein Foto mit Texturen von les brumes und einer selbst gemalten Wasserfarben-Textur bearbeitet. Wenn ihr meine gemalten Texturen benutzen wollt, dann ladet sie euch einfach runter oder malt doch gleich eure eigenen Wasserfarben-Texturen (was auch ein perfektes kleines Sommerferien-Projekt für Kinder ist ;-) ! 

But today I wanted to finally show you a new photo I made some days ago. My kids and I found this empty, artfully built nest lying on the ground in our courtyard. I have processed my photo with some textures by les brumes and also one of my handpainted water colour textures. If you want to use these textures feel free to download them or even make your own water colour textures (which is also a perfect little summer holiday project for kids ;-)!

Creative Photoshop Playtime: Textures and Colours

Am Wochenende habe ich ein schlichtes Foto von einem kleinen Blumenstrauß in einer Vase, das übrigens auf dem Friedhof entstanden ist (in einer Art Andachtskapelle), in vier verschiedenen Farbvarianten bearbeitet.
This weekend I processed a simple photo of a bunch of flowers in a vase which I made, by the way, in a sort of cemetery chapel, in four different colour tones.

mit zwei Texturen überlagert: mit einem Ausschnitt aus einer Textur von les brumes und mit einer eigenen. Diesmal habe ich anschließend noch etwas mit den Farben gespielt und relativ stark am Farbtonregler gedreht. Insgesamt probiere ich immer recht viel aus, spiele mit dem Kontrast, der Helligkeit, der Intensität der Überlagerung so lange bis mir das Bild gefällt. Dabei geht auch mal das eine oder andere schief, aber es ist ein kreativer Prozess, der mir nach dem Fotografieren noch einmal viel Freude bereitet.
with two textures: one is a part of a texture by les brumes and the other is one of mine. This time I played a lot with the colours. I always try out many things, I play with the contrast, the light, the intensity of the overlaying until I get the result I really like. During this process there is often something that goes wrong but all in all it is a creative process I really enjoy after the making of the photo itself.

The Kiss

Kurz bevor der Tag des Kusses zu Ende ist, habe ich noch einen ganz besonderen "natürlichen" Kuss für euch:-) Ist es wohl eher eine freundschaftliche oder eine tödliche Umarmung?

Ein schöner Schmetterling, den meine Tochter irgendwo in München gefunden hat. Keine echtes dafür aber ein besonders zauberhaftes Exemplar!

Free (Your Mind) Textures

Nachdem ich Carissa Paige's kleines Video gesehen hatte, wuchs in mir das Bedürfnis endlich wieder etwas mit Farbe zu gestalten.  Schon seit langem wollte ich meine eigenen Texturen kreieren und plötzlich wusste ich, was ich da mit Farbe auf meinen so lieb gewonnenen kleinen Holztäfelchen malen wollte: freie Formen und Farben, Strukturen und Texturen. Abstrakte kleine Bilder zum abfotografieren und weiter verwenden! Ihr wisst, wie sehr ich die frei zur  Verfügung gestellten Texturen von les brumes liebe. Sie sind so besonders, weil sie so künstlerisch, handgefertigt und poetisch sind, keine rein digital erstellten Texturen können da mithalten.
After having watched Carissa Paige's video I really felt the urge to create something with colour. I had thought about creating my own textures for some time now and so I suddenly knew what I wanted to paint on my lovely little wood panels: free forms and colours, structures and textures. Abstract little paintings I wanted to photograph and use then as textures! You know how much I love those made by  les brumes. They are so artistic, handmade and poetic, no simple digitally created textures can be like them.

Und so habe ich zusammen mit meinen Kindern an unserem ersten Ferienmorgen die Küche in ein kleines Kunstatelier verwandelt, alle möglichen Farben, Pinsel, Spachtel, Papiere und eben Sperrholzplatten hervorgeholt und losgelegt! Wir hatten so viel Spaß und es sind richtig schöne Texturen entstanden. Ich nenne diese erste Reihe mein "Free You Mind" Set, weil sich es sich genauso befreiend angefühlt hat, sie herzustellen! Eine davon möchte ich euch heute zeigen und euch auch frei zur Verfügung stellen (auf Flickr)! Hier ist das ganze Bild
And so I turned together with my kids our kitchen into a little art studio with all kinds of paint, brushes, paper and also some wood panels and then we started! We had so much fun and some really beautiful textures were created. I call this first set my "Free Your Mind" textures because this was what it felt like to make them. And now I want to show you one of them and I also want to share them with you for free (on Flickr)! First, here's the whole painting
