Stelle dich und dein Label kurz vor und beschreibe deinen Stil. Ich bin Demoiselle Libellule, halb Französin halb Deutsche, und gestalte zarte, feminine und meist verträumte Mixed Media-Fotografien, d.h. digital und manuell bearbeitete Fotokunst auf Holz. Meine Arbeiten und Gedanken teile ich mit euch hier auf meinem Blog, der so etwas wie mein Traumtagebuch ist.
Wer oder was inspiriert dich? Alles kann Inspiration sein! Meist sind es besondere Farbkombinationen, schöne Lichteinfälle oder auch interessante Texturen, die ich in der Natur, in der Stadt oder auch einfach in meiner Wohnung finde. Im Idealfall habe ich dann auch gleich meine Nikon zur Hand um alles festzuhalten, manchmal muss auch die Erinnerung daran reichen und diese wird dann später z.B. in einem Stillleben oder Selbstporträt umgesetzt.
Mit welchen Materialien arbeitest du? Ich arbeite mit meiner Kamera, am Computer und genieße dann die besondere Haptik von meinem Hahnemühle-Künstlerpapier und von meinem schlichten italienischen Pappelsperrholz, auf das ich die Bilder mit Hilfe von einem dicken Buchbinderpinsel und Leim aufziehe.
Wie oder wo produzierst Du deine Holzbilder? Meine Bilder gestalte ich in einem winzig kleinen Atelier, das sich fast direkt am Prinzregentenplatz in München befindet. Das Foto (Stillleben, nostalgische Oktoberfestbilder, abstrakte Fotografie und Selbstporträts) ist dabei der Ausgangspunkt für meine Arbeit mit Farben, Formen und Texturen. Fast alle Bilder bearbeite ich digital nach und überlagere sie mit einer oder auch mehreren Schichten (z.B. Fotos von meinen abstrakten Gemälden, die ich meist direkt auf Holz male). Nach der digitalen Bearbeitung entstehen die Drucke auf hochwertigem Hahnemühle-Künstlerpapier und anschließend ziehe ich die Bilder auf Holztafeln im Format 20 x 20 cm auf. Im letzten Schritt erfolgt noch eine manuelle Nachbearbeitung des Bildes wodurch ein leichter Vintage-Look entsteht und auch eine optische Verschmelzung von Papier und Holz stattfindet.
Please tell us something about you and your label and describe your style. I am Demoiselle Libellule, half French half German, and I create delicate, feminine and mostly dreamy mixed media photographies, that means digitally and manually processed photo art on wood. I share my work and my thoughts with you here on my blog which is something like my dream-log.
Who or what does inspire you? Everything can be my inspiration! I get my inspiration mostly from beautiful colour combinations, beautiful light or interesting textures which I find in nature, in the city or even just at home. Ideally I would always have my Nikon with me to photograph what I see but sometimes the memory must be enough and later it will be translated into e.g. a still life or a selfportrait.
What are the materials you are working with? I work with my camera, my laptop and then I really enjoy the special texture of my Hahnemühle fine art paper and of my simple Italian wood panels on which I mount my photos with the help of a big brush and a special glue.
Where or how do you produce your photos on wood? I work in a very small studio which is located near the Prinzregentenplatz in Munich. The photo (still lifes, nostalgic photos of the Oktoberfest, abstract photography and self portraits) is something like the starting point for my work with colours, forms and textures. I process most of my work digitally and overlay them with one or even several layers (e.g. photos from my abstract paintings which I paint directly on wood). After the digital processing I print my photos on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper and after that I mount them on wood panels (20 x 20 cm = 7,8 x 7,8 inch). The last step is the manuel processing which creates a slight vintage look and also a visual fusion of the paper and the wood.
